Gabriel was born in Seattle and grew up in Manchester. He left school at 16, and spent his early twenties in Germany, recording, touring and working as a bike messenger. He gained a BA and MA in English and Creative Writing at UEA, going on to win a scholarship to study at Harvard University. Now living in Manchester, Gabriel’s fiction has appeared in various literary journals and in 2019, his story ‘Rockets and Blue Lights’ was shortlisted for the White Review Short Story Prize. He is currently writing his first novel.
