Joep werkte voor provincies, het rijk en de Europese Unie. In 2017 volgt hij de post doctorale opleiding journalistiek aan de Erasmusuniversiteit.

Ahmad (Meppel, 1989) begon zijn schrijfcarrière in 2013, toen zijn eerste Disney-scenario bij weekblad Donald Duck werd geaccepteerd. Vervolgens ging hij ook als freelance redactiemedewerker bij het vrolijke weekblad aan de slag. Sindsdien ging zijn loopbaan in sneltreinvaart.
